WEVL Spring Pledge Drive

WEVL Spring Pledge Drive begins this Friday so my pledge drive show is the next Tuesday. I have decided to do a theme program and the theme is sad songs. I don't just mean love songs, any sad song (preferably not Top 40 and no FCC not allowed words). Murder ballads are good, songs about war, anything sad or poignant. It does not have to be a slow song, it can even have an uptempo beat.
Now some may think that sad songs are, well, just too sad. But I have come to find out over the last eleven years(11 years this month) of Pathways that most people, myself included, really like a good sad song. A sad song can actually make you feel better. Maybe it's the fact that someone else feels or has felt the same way you do. You could even use the term "feels your pain".
If you have any good suggestions, pass them on. I am not promising I will use it, but I will consider all suggestions. My real dilemma has been trying to come up with a good title for the program. I need it to convey the subject matter but not come across negative. If you have any ideas in that direction, once more, pass them on.
And finally, like I said, it's a pledge drive so we need new members. You can find out all about becoming a member of WEVL at http://www.wevl.org/. Thanks
